Agjërimi konstiston në pirjen vetëm të ujit dhe ngrënien vetëm të frutave gjatë këtyre 8 orëve. Besoj se është e tepërt të përmend të mirat dhe bekimet (jo vetëm fizike) që vijnë nga agjërimi. Gjithashtu, ju kujtoj se agjërimi kombinohet gjithmonë me lutje, sidomos për personat e tjerë. Spiritual fasting is not just about giving up food or other items, but it is about feeding the spirit through our obedience to God. Here are some scripture versus that can inspire you or help you understand the act of fasting and how it can help you grow closer to God as you pray and focus:

Exodus 34:28

Moses remained there on the mountain with the Lord forty days and forty nights. In all that time he ate no bread and drank no water. And the Lord wrote the terms of the covenant—the Ten Commandments —on the stone tablets. (NLT)
Deuteronomy 9:18

Then, as before, I threw myself down before the Lord for forty days and nights. I ate no bread and drank no water because of the great sin you had committed by doing what the Lord hated, provoking him to anger. (NLT)

Adventistët -- cilët janë (ITALISHT)

Cosa vuol dire Avventista?
La nostra comunità è sorta negli Stati Uniti verso la metà del secolo scorso e si situa nel solco aperto dal protestantesimo. Crede perciò in Cristo che, solo, può perdonare e salvare.
Promuove molteplici attività, tutte volte alla predicazione della Bibbia, ritenuta l'unica regola di fede, autofinanziamento attraverso le decime e le offerte volontarie dei suoi fedeli.
In Italia opera fin dal 1864 e nel 1986 ha stipulato con il nostro Governo un'Intesa trasformata poi nella legge 22.11.88 n. 516.
Sul territorio nazionale è presente con un centinaio di chiese, una Casa Editrice a Firenze, un Istituto di Cultura Biblica, una Casa di Riposo a Forlì, un Centro di Benessere , un Centro Giovanile a Poppi (Arezzo), una settantina di centri per l'assistenza ai poveri, radio, una grossa installazione radio a onde corte, 1 scuola.
Avventista: cosa significa
In questo nome sono raccolte le caratteristiche fondamentali della chiesa: essa si definisce "cristiana" perchè ha Cristo come centro della propria fede e per distinguersi da altre comunità di credenti.
La Chiesa Avventista tuttavia ha in comune con le altre chiese cristiane (che si possono dividere in tre grandi gruppi: cattolici, protestanti e ortodossi) alcuni fondamenti della fede, come la credenza nella Bibbia quale libro ispirato da Dio, la credenza in Gesù come Dio venuto sulla terra in forma umana per salvare l'uomo caduto nel peccato,ecc.
Perchè Avventista?
"Avventista" significa: "Colui o colei che attende l'avvento di Cristo". La Bibbia ci dice infatti che Gesù dopo la risurrezione, prima di ascendere al cielo, ha promesso ai discepoli che sarebbe ritornato su questa terra per mettere fine al male, alla sofferenza e per inaugurare un mondo nuovo. Gesù ha dato anche ai discepoli dei segni dei tempi, cioè dei segni caratteristici dell'epoca in cui sarebbe tornato, dei segnali che avrebbero permesso ai suoi discepoli di sapere che il suo ritorno si stava approssimando. Noi avventisti crediamo che molti segni si siano adempiuti e quindi che il ritorno di Gesù sia più vicino.
Perchè del 7° Giorno?
Perchè il 7° giorno, secondo la Bibbia è il sabato (Esodo 20:8-11; Levitico 23:3; Luca 23:54;24:1), il nome ebraico che significa riposo. Il 7° giorno è stato scelto da Dio come giorno a lui dedicato fin dal tempo della creazione (Genesi 2:1-3) e la Chiesa Avventista, seguendo l'esempio della chiesa degli apostoli, lo osserva ancora oggi come giorno di astensione dai lavori settimanali, di riposo e di riunione per il culto comune.

Për t'ju ndihmuar sadopak ndërsa lexoni nga ky libër shumë interesant, po ju prezantoj një hyrje për këtë libër të Dhjatës së Vjetër, që të jeni brenda kontekstit të tij. Zoti ju bekoftë. Hyrje / Prezantim për Librin e Ezekielit

Katastrofa godet dhe bota përreth shkërmoqet. Njerëzit reagojnë në mënyra të ndryshme, por dy nga përgjigjet më të zakonshmet janë mohimi (ose mospranimi) dhe dëshpërimi. Përgjigja e parë (mohimi) nuk do kurrsesi ta pranojë realitetin e katastrofës. Ai mbyll sytë fort ose kthen kokën nga ana tjetër; vazhdon të sillet sikur gjithçka do të jetë në rregull; për me tepër gjen strehë tek gënjeshtrat, përçatjet dhe fantazitë. Nga ana tjetër, dëshpërimi është paralizuar plotësisht nga katastrofa dhe e sheh këtë të fundit si fundin e botës. Nuk ka as vullnetin më të vogël për të bërë diçka, duke rënë në përfundimin se jeta ka marrë fund dhe nuk ka më kuptim e arsye të jetohet më. Dëshpërimi, i pushtuar krejt nga fatalizmi, i mbyll sytë fort ndaj një bote pa ngjyra dhe pa jetë.

Në rradhët e shkrimtarëve biblikë, Ezekieli është ekspert në rastin e katastrofës. Kur katastrofa goditi – ishte shekulli i 6-të p.K, kur ndodhi pushtimi i Izraelit nga Babilonia – reagimi i parë ishte mohimi/mospranimi i realitetit. Profeti Ezekiel e pa veten duke jetuar mes popullit të Zotit, popull ky (tmerrësisht i ngjashëm me ne sot) që me kokëfortësi refuzonte të pranonte se çfarë po ndodhte (turma e mohimit). Gjithashtu, kishte edhe nga ata që nuk kishin vullnet të shikonin asgjë tjetër përveç asaj që po ndodhte (turma e dëshpërimit).

Por Ezekieli pa! Ai pa atë që njerëzit përreth tij nuk mundnin të shihnin dhe nuk donin të shihnin! Në imazhe të jashtëzakonshme e të paharrueshme, të përshkruara në detaje tepër të imta, Ezekieli pa Zotin duke punuar gjatë epokës së katastrofës. Njerëzit e mohimit refuzuan të pranonin se katastrofa përpara tyre ishte në fakt katastrofike! Si ka mundësi? Zoti nuk do lejonte që gjërat të shkonin aq keq, apo jo? Por Ezekieli u tregoi! U tregoi se, po, katastrofa ishte realitet, por Zoti po punonte gjatë saj, duke e përdorur atë me sovranitet. U tregoi në mënyrë që njerëzit e mohimit të ishin në gjendje të përqafonin Zotin në kohërat më të këqija të mundshme.

Në kontrast, njerëzit e dëshpërimit, të shushatur e katandisur keq nga shkretimi, refuzuan të pranonin se jeta ia vlente te jetohej! Si ka mundësi? Ata kishin humbur gjithçka, apo jo? Ose n.q.s. nuk i kishin humbur ende, ishte thjesht çështje kohe, të gjitha, atdheun, Tempullin, lirinë, dhe shumë, shumë jetë. Por Ezekieli u tregoi! U tregoi se Zoti po po punonte dhe ndodhej mes rrënojave dhe mbeturinave, duke e përdorur katastrofën me sovranitet, për të krijuar një popull të ri të Zotit..

Ose për shkak të mohimit, ose për shkak të dëshpërimit, populli i Zotit për pak sa e humbi identitetin si popull i Zotit. Por nuk e humbi! Populli i Zotit doli nga ai shekull katastrofash më i fortë dhe më i sprovuar. Dhe një nga arsyet kryesore ishte Ezekieli.

Psalmi 23 i adaptuar nga Christian Style

1 Zoti është bariu im, asgjë nuk do të më mungojë.

2 Ai më çon në kullota me bar të njomë, më drejton pranë ujërave që të çlodhin.

3 Ai ma përtërin shpirtin, më çon nëpër shtigjet e drejtësisë, nga dashuria që ka për emrin e tij.

4 Edhe sikur të ecja në luginën e hijes së vdekjes, nuk do të kisha frikë nga asnjë e keqe, sepse ti je me mua; shkopi yt dhe thupra jote janë ato që më japin zemër.

5 Ti shtron para meje tryezën në prani të armiqve të mi; ti vajos kokën time me vaj; kupa ime po derdhet.

Refleksion pas Fundjavës së Pashkës

Sa bukur kur mblidhemi bashkë! Aq më tepër kur është koha e Pashkës, kur përkujtojmë sakrificën sublime të Zotit dhe Shpëtimtarit tonë Jezu Krisht! Sa prekëse kur lajmë këmbët e njëri-tjetrit, e njëra-tjetrës... kur përkujtojmë vdekjen e Zotit kur hamë nga buka dhe pimë nga vera e Komunionit.

Sa ngazëllues është përjetimi i faljes, i pastrimit, i shpengimit, falë Zotit tonë -- “sepse të gjithë mëkatuan dhe u privuan nga lavdia e Perëndisë, por janë shfajësuar falas me anë të hirit të tij, nëpërmjet shpengimit që është në Krishtin Jezus.” Romakëve 3:22-23.

Sa e mrekullueshme kur ndjehemi një familje, kur adhurojmë në një frymë, kur ndajmë gëzimet dhe hidhërimet së bashku!

Kemi nevojë më shumë se kurrë për njëri-tjetrin! "Le të mbajmë të patundur rrëfimin e shpresës sonë, sepse besnik është Ai që premtoi. Dhe le të kujdesemi për njeri tjetrin, për t'u nxitur për dashuri dhe vepra të mira, pa hequr dorë nga të mbledhurit bashkë tonin, sikurse kanë zakon disa, por të nxisim njeri tjetrin, aq më tepër se e shihni ditën që po afrohet." (Hebrenjve 10).

…the world is growing smaller. Local problems grow to international issues. Our planet can no longer afford indifference to conflicts, wars, poverty, social turmoil, natural disaster, hunger, economic and financial crisis, disease and death, violence and hatred. We must responsibly turn to mutual respect, love and faith. The time has come to look up to our friend and saviour Jesus, following his life style: a christian styled life. Share your food, the world offers enough food for everybody. Live your life responsibly, without hatred and indifference. Open your heart to Jesus and to your brothers and sisters. Forgive and accept Christ’s forgiveness. Treat nature with great respect, considering the effects of your actions. Be honest, faithful and tolerant.

Let us define a new generation based on Christ’s principles and God’s love: the Christian style generation. People who love themselves, their brothers and sisters, and God! People who live their life responsibly, with love, enthusiasm and joy!

Time for action: a huge earthquake has shattered Italy – help through a heartfelt donation.
